Enjoy the Wind

Enjoy the wind is a website devoted to anything and everything related to the joy that comes from wind activities. This domain was purchase over five years ago with the purpose of selling kites, windsocks, spinsocks, and more. At the time, I was a novice at web development and search marketing. Since then, I have worked a couple years in search marketing and understand how to properly promote a website. So, there may come a time where this site will return to the purpose of selling kites, windsocks, spinsocks, and the like.

The wind provides many opportunities for enjoyment. Kites are the best known toy for enjoying the wind. Growing up in Oregon, I made frequent trips to the beach near Lincoln City and Cannon Beach where I would fly a kite. Lincoln City has many kite shops and host each year a day devoted to kite flying.

Spinsocks and windsocks are a nice decorative way to enjoy the wind. These decorative items add color to the sorroundings while moving in the breeze. Windsocks are often seen at airports to show the direction and strength of the wind. Both spinsocks and windsocks come in various sizes, colors, and shapes.

Some of you might find enjoyment through wind surfing. I remember one day about 10 years ago, driving east on the Washington State side of the Columbia River, passing a point near The Dalles where a numerous gathering of wind surfers were launching into the water.

If I had some money, I would love to invest in a sail boat to enjoy the wind. Sailing seems like a tranquil way to get out on the water and float without the noise of a motor engine. Sailing seems symbolic of peace on the water. I think of the Christopher Cross song from the early 80s about sailing. His song is the romantic theme supporting enjoyment of the wind floating on the waters in the warm breeze.
